About the role

AMP’s strategy is to meet the advice needs of more Australians and in new ways, using significantly enhanced digital and direct services. AMP is significantly enhancing its existing digital offerings to provide an engaging and distinctive digital client experience.

The senior security architect designs security controls to ensure coverage of all important business processes, and to support the objectives and strategy of the business.

It is the security architect’s responsibility to liaise with business and application teams to understand the business requirements and to specify controls that enable the business to manage risk, and achieve its objectives securely.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensuring alignment of business and security through evaluation of business strategies, supporting risk and opportunity-based approach to security services to optimize business outcomes.
  • Defining and maintaining a framework of security patterns, blueprints, services and capabilities to empower the business to rapidly and safely innovate within the digital environment.
  • Building strong relationships with the Digital Workplace platform team to embed secure capabilities sustainably.

Capabilities & Experience

  • Extensive experience in information security
  • Experience with Risk Frameworks such as BASEL
  • Experience with Architecture Frameworks such as SABSA, TOGAF
  • Extensive security experience in a regulated environment, preferably in financial services
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, IT, or a related discipline
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, SABSA)
  • Experience working with cloud-native environments, preferably Azure
  • Software development experience is a plus
