JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Sydney business is continuing to grow due to some major project wins. KBR are involved in a range of exciting projects across the market sector including rail, road and water infrastructure and we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Controls Engineer with a strong focus on cost engineering to join the team.

This is an ideal role for someone looking to take the next step in their career and join a diverse, highly skilled team of industry specialists with a view to taking on a leadership role at a later stage.

Reporting to the Project Controls Lead, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing cost schedules for bids and projects
  • Allocating budget to committed funds
  • Establish work breakdown structures
  • Identifying and reporting potential cost trends, risks and scope changes including implementing Earned Value Management
  • Prepare information for monthly reports
  • Mentor less experienced members of the team.

Requirements:

  • Preferred tertiary qualifications in an Engineering, Project Management or related construction discipline
  • Demonstrated capability in performing standard cost control and cost management activities
  • 10+ years industry experience in Project Cost Controls.
  • Desire to take on a leadership role at a later stage
