The roleWe are currently seeking a talented Principal Rail Engineer who will done many hats spread across Project Manager and Design Lead. You will work closely with our other specialists in our Perth office to provide technical design input, co-ordination and project delivery activities across major Rail projects in collaboration with the local and national business.
With a minimum of 15+ year’s commercial experience delivering on major rail infrastructure projects, you will play a key role in:
Providing leadership and proactively collaborate with team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and co-ordination of project deliverables;
Providing expert advice and demonstrate advanced technical skills, ensuring that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC;
Demonstrating high level project management skills while accomplishing project deliverables to the required standard and in a timely manner;
Actively contribution to the commercial success of projects and the team and contributing to successful business development
With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
Suitable applicants will have/be:
15+ years of industry experience in project management or design management of rail infrastructure across civil or structural
Proven experience of managing project and design delivery across multiple projects
Experience of leading and contributing to bid preparation and providing technical input across all rail disciplines
Demonstrated leadership and management skills
High level consulting and client management skills
Tertiary qualification / engineering degree
Certified Professional Engineer or on their way to attaining
Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a culturally diverse and multi-disciplinary environment
