Job Summary

Our Civil Infrastructure business is looking for a highly driven Associate Director to join our Transport Advisory team based in Sydney. The role will have a strong focus on business and staff development and technical expertise within the Transport sector. The successful candidate will be the driving force behind key projects and programs whilst enhancing our capability in the local market.

You will utilise your considerable experience within the transportation sector and leverage industry relationships, actively seeking new business opportunities to develop the AECOM brand in NSW. You will lead integrated, collaborative project teams of engineers, analysts, planners, and modellers to assist them to develop technical solutions to clients' problems through high-quality delivery.

Responsibilities will include:

Leadership of business and strategic planning activities in order to identify opportunities to sustain and grow business in short, medium, and longer-term

Ability to apply the theory of engineering, project development, and planning in the urban context in a range of scenarios to develop solutions to real-world problems

Develop and retain a high level of technical skill in the relevant field

Develop and maintain relationships with external parties to ensure maximum benefit is achieved for AECOM from these relationships.

Provide high-quality technical advice to clients that meets and exceeds their needs

Activities will include seeking opportunities from clients, submitting tenders, and delivering proactive technical leadership in transport advisory, urban development, and cities projects.

Minimum Requirements :

Consulting or government experience with business development capability

Undergraduate degree in civil engineering or a related discipline is essential

Good technical skills, knowledge and experience in traffic engineering, urban corridor and precinct design and development, and transport data analytics, transport planning, transport modelling

Understanding of the theory of engineering principles and concepts and their application in a range of scenarios to analyse real world problems and develop solutions

Experience in delivery of engineering studies and projects for cities/ regions / corridors/ precincts.

Preferred Qualifications :

Postgraduate qualifications are desirable, as are relevant professional training courses
