Suburban Rail Loop is a city and state-shaping project that will transform Victoria’s public transport system, connecting Melbourne’s suburbs and creating opportunities in great places. The 90-kilometre Suburban Rail Loop will link every major rail line from the Frankston line to the Werribee line, via the airport, better connecting Victorians to jobs, retail, education, health services and each other. The project will trigger investment and renewal in the neighbourhoods associated with new stations. It will be constructed in stages across several decades, with Stage One (Cheltenham to Box Hill) delivering twin 27 km tunnels. This is a unique career opportunity to join a transformational city-shaping infrastructure project in its early stages and to help drive the best connectivity, liveability and productivity outcomes for Melbourne.

SRLA is seeking to engage a Senior Project Engineer to work on the Suburban Rail Loop Project. The role will call on project management experience in public infrastructure projects and will involve working in cross functional teams, interacting daily with multiple disciplines including engineering, construction, planning, environment, community and stakeholder relations. The applicant must have excellent communication skills, stakeholder management experience and the ability to forge strong relationships across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

You will be a highly focused and driven person who is passionate about contributing to the delivery of public infrastructure, working within a high-performing project team to drive exceptional outcomes. You will be a qualified Engineer or similar discipline with experience working within large infrastructure projects preferable rail. You will enjoy a fast paced, performance focused workplace where you will have the opportunity to work autonomously and develop your career.
