Position Description
With over 30 years experience this well-established fabrication company based in Eagle Farm is offering the chance for a 2nd Year Engineering Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding) Apprentices to complete their Trade Qualification.
You will complete your time training under a team of professionals and your work will be varied from cutting, shaping, assembling and welding, to putting together steel components for building supports and major structures.
Apprentices would also learn how to weld using MIG, arc, oxy and other welding equipment, oxy/gas cutting equipment, rollers, metal forming and shaping machines, marking out tables, friction saws, grinders, air arc gouges and a range of portable hand tools.
As an Apprentice with previous experience you must be:
Clean tidy and well spoken
Be able to take instructions and ask if ever uncertain
Have a positive Work Attitude
Be fit and strong and not afraid of hard work
Already be aware of the parameters that this work demands
Be committed to completing your trade qualification
Have a car and a licence due to the location of the workplace
Hours of operation are:
Mon - Thurs 6.00 am to 2.30 pm
Fri - 6.00 am to 12.00 pm
