Truck Art operates from 5 modern strategically located sites across Australian at Wagga, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and the Bomen site outside of Wagga. Each site provides support to the trucking and the livestock industry with the services provided by Truck Art Livestock Trailers reaching across Australia

We are currently looking for an experienced and qualified Automotive Electrician to join our team.

The successful candidates will need to undertake and possess:

  • Fit 6, 12 and 24 Volt components to trailers and other machinery at TAT or on-site while providing support to TAT customers and business interests.
  • Fault Find, Repair and provide Quality Control to all 6, 12 and 24 Volt components fitted to trailers and other machinery at TAT or on-site.
  • Wire trailers to suit customer specifications.
  • Fit hydraulic pumps and electrical solenoids to livestock trailers.
  • Interpret Engineering Drawings.
  • Interpret Trailer Specifications sheets (SPEC SHEETS)
  • Check drawings and SPEC SHEETS for accuracy and completion prior to commencing manufacturing tasks.
  • Provide Quality Control for all manufacturing processes carried out by you and your apprentice.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during all work related activities.
  • Ensure your personal safety and the safety of your peers is maintained.
  • Ensure attendance at the workplace is in accordance with TAT expectations.
  • Provide a positive image for your supervisors, peers and TAT customers.
  • Participate in staff development and performance management processes.
  • Participate in feedback processes in-use within the TAT organisation.
  • Actively support TAT in its business activities and decisions.
  • Ensure personal compliance with the TAT Equity and Diversity Policy.
  • Ensure personal compliance with the TAT WHS and other Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintain TAT provided uniform items in a clean and presentable condition.
  • · Ensure your attendance at work is unaffected by alcohol or substances.
  • Perform other functions within your skill set as requested by TAT.
  • Complete wiring tasks within quoted hours.
  • Personally fund and maintain currency of your Forklift Licence.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Must have a minimum of three years’ experience as a qualified light vehicle mechanic or equivalent
  • Cert III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent

Salary range is $50,000 - $60,000 commensurate with experience

Hours: fulltime
