JOB DESCRIPTION
A vacancy exists for the position of Engineering Manager for a Part 145 and CAR 30 AMO. The position is responsible to the Accountable manager. The successful applicant will be able to satisfy the CASA requirements to hold the position of a Responsible Manager within a Part 145 Maintenance Organisation.
At a Minimum The Requirements Are
- CASA Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer qualification.
- at least 5 years experience in matters for which he or she is responsible; or at least 2 years experience in matters for which he or she is responsible provided he or she has at least an additional 3 years experience in civil aircraft maintenance
- Comprehensive knowledge of CASR - The Civil Aviation Safety Regulations
(CASR) and the Manual of Standards (MOS).
- Knowledge of the applicable aircraft types-Cessna 200/400 series and Metroliner SA226/227
The Engineering Manager works closely with the Quality and Safety department, to direct the safe completion of engineering activities in compliance with current regulations while meeting Company operational requirements.
The Engineering Manager maintains oversight of a team of engineers led by the Chief Engineer, performing base and line maintenance activities on the fleet of Company aircraft in compliance with CAR 30 and a Part 145 Exposition.
The successful applicant will evidence strong management skills combined with extensive experience in relevant aviation engineering.
