Our client, DNA Solutions Pty Ltd. providing managed IT services in healthcare is looking to fill a full time position for a skilled and experienced Network and Security Engineer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects based on a range of contemporary networking technologies for the clients.

Key responsibilities are set out below:

• Design and implement network security technologies e.g. firewall, IPS, content filtering, working knowledge of system/end point security.
• Work with a keen eye for detail within a network and security context across public, hybrid and private cloud environments
• Proven network engineering project background with knowledge and skills in analysis, design and implementation of LAN, SD-WAN, WLAN, Cloud and Network Security Technology areas
• Act as the Lead Engineer to provide technical oversight for complex projects incorporating multiple technology streams and deliver best practice solutions.
• Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail with pride in the accuracy and presentation of the information.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal, negotiation and collaboration skills
• Personal interest in learning new and emerging technologies

Ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with networking, wireless or security technologies
• Proven record of accomplishment in a customer facing consulting engagement.
• Extensive hands on experience working with a broad range of network, wireless and security technologies.
• Comprehensive subject matter expertise with at least 3 of the following technologies:

1. Routing and Switching products
2. Wireless LAN infrastructure and RF Design
3. SD-WAN / Network Access Control and Authentication systems
4. Firewall and Network Security technology
5. Personal interest in learning new and emerging technologies 

• Detailed knowledge of solutions and certification from a number of the following vendors is preferred, however experience with equivalent related technologies and vendors will be considered:

1. Aruba/HPE, Palo Alto, Cisco, extreme networks, VeloCloud, Microsoft Azure, AWS

Remuneration

The salary offered is $85,000 and is market competitive to attract the very best people.
