Davidson and Davidson Painting Services is a team of professional painters, based in the Eastern Suburbs. We’ve been in the painting business for over 20 years, and have established a reputation for quality workmanship, reliability, professional expertise, and customer service.

Our company is currently looking for a full-time Painter to join our team. You will be responsible for mixing, matching, and applying paint to various surfaces, completing touch-ups and coordinating painting indoor and outdoor projects of Davidson and Davidson Painting Services.

Responsibilities 

• Read blueprints/instructions and examine surface to determine the kind and amount of work necessary
• Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc
• Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc
• Apply paint to walls and structures and protect surrounding areas
• Make assessments on paint color, mix and match pigments using multiple techniques and tools
• Remove previous paint using a number of methods to prepare surfaces
• Use differ tools and brushes to apply paints with attention to details
• Support other team members to ensure completion of projects on time and according to specifications
• Work on Residential and commercial work projects
• Understand and comply with industry safety and environmental policies and procedures.

Skills Requirements

• Certificate in Painting
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Performing preventative maintenance on equipment and power tools;
• Demonstrated positive attitude and teamwork abilities;
• Able to work efficiently with and without supervision;
• Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.)
• Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them
• Conscientious with great attention to detail

Salary Pack:

AUD 55K to 65K plus Super
