Your role
The Onshore Site Manager (OSM) is an execution and operations management focused role with a focus on the execution of 12-month plans. This role is the senior leadership position at the asset, responsible for asset profit & loss, delivery of asset performance targets (production, financial and safety) and execution. You will have oversight of the Deputy OSM, Maintenance Team Lead and Production Team Lead, including interface with centralised assets support functions and dedicated technical support.
Accountabilities and responsibilities include
- Accountable for the performance of the Production Facility asset - safety, production, cost, and compliance
- Own the delivery of the current asset plan & be a key contributor to future asset plans
- Set priorities and outline the resources plan for asset-based activities
- Assess field operations and maintenance capabilities, manage performance and pursue opportunities for improvement
- Manage functional resources dedicated to the asset and integrate with functional teams
- Key decision maker for high risk permits, approving isolation, approving equipment inhibit certification and ensuring appropriate documentation exists
- Key decision maker on new or changed low-rated operational and integrity risk
- Lead and develop a high performing operations team, including PNG Local Nationals
- Develop a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence & safety performance
Your skills & experience
- Degree or Diploma in an Engineering discipline
- 12 – 15+ years’ experience in an Oil & Gas operations role at site level, with a minimum 5 years’ in process plant management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including effective engagement, negotiation, influencing abilities
- Highly developed project management knowledge and software abilities
- Strong analytical, numeracy and problem-solving skills

This position is offered on a 2-year fixed term contract, rotating to PNG. Please note, standard rotation is 28/28, however due to Covid restrictions and quarantine requirements, an extended roster is temporarily in place. Quarantine allowances apply.
