Projects Engineer

  • Annual Salary Range: $70,791 - $85,956 + Super (as per VPS Enterprise Agreement 2021)
  • Tenure: Ongoing
  • Employment Type: Full Time (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual Work Location: Sunshine (flexibility may be available)

About the Opportunity

This role is to plan, implement and monitor road and bridge works to achieve project scope, quality, cost, time, safety and environmental requirements in accordance with relevant policies and toolkits.

About You

As our ideal candidate, you will have the following:

  • Exercise professional independent judgement to prepare contract/quotation specifications of moderate complexity under broad supervision and administer contracts.
  • Coordinate and monitor the financial and physical progress of projects.
  • Exercise professional independent judgement in pre-construction, construction and contract administration of projects, including an understanding of quality management principles.
  • Communicate effectively and use negotiation and influencing skills to achieve appropriate outcomes for all parties.
  • Ability to develop interpersonal, communication, negotiation skills and to work in a team environment.
  • Exercise professional judgement to understand and apply the Risk Management Guidelines as per the Department of Transport's guidelines
