JOB DESCRIPTION

Teacher 3.1 to 5.2, $81,429 - $103,253 per annum plus superannuation. Salary is based on a combination of qualifications and experience. This position is fixed term until April 2022.

About the Role
As a TAFE teacher delivering into Victoria University Polytechnic's expanding, high quality Building Surveying programs, you will be responsible for teaching and assessing students and for developing and customising learning materials for a range of student and client needs. You have diverse sector experience and can provide prospective and current students with comprehensive advice on course selection, workplace expectations, learning strategies and other student related issues. While based at Sunshine, this position may be required to teach at in an online enviroment as need arises.

About the Person
As an experienced teacher in the TAFE sector with current/recent direct service experience in Building Surveying, you will inspire our students with your passion for teaching and extensive contemporary industry knowledge and experience. Your proven ability to facilitate learning and assessment in a diverse range of settings and familiarity with competency based training and assessment and blended learning will help set you up for success in this role.

It is essential that you hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) to be eligible to apply for this role as well as a valid E (Employee) class Working with Children Check. It desirable current membership of a relevant industry association and have current registration on the National Building Professionals Register in the Building Industry Control category (level 1) or be accredited under the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors (AIBS) National Accreditation Scheme at Building Surveyor level

  • Maintain a client focused approach to the business and practice of education and training delivery
  • Contribute to standardised processes and systems within the department to ensure excellent service to students and industry clients.
