JOB DESCRIPTION

We're currently looking for a Process Control Engineer to backfill a vacant role.

This will be an immediate start & is an excellent opportunity to work for a large mining company.

Please note that this is a DIDO role in Boddington with a 8/6 roster, days, days then for nights 7/7.

The major challenge of this role is to maintain a level of availability of the plant PCS and data historian such that the process department can meet or exceed budgeted production expectations.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Extensive process control background, with a Bachelors or higher degree level qualification in Process Control Engineering or Control Systems Engineering.
  • Experience as technical mining professional, including 8+ years' experience in gold processing across multiple locations.
  • High level understanding of the following elements:
  • Yokogawa DCS experience &/or someone with excellent experience in process improvements within the mineral processing.
  • OSIsoft PI Data Historian
  • ExaQantum/ARA Alarm Monitoring Suite
  • PlantESP Control Loop Monitoring Software
  • Metso OCS-4D Advanced Control Platform
  • Yokogawa VNet-IP networking
  • Managed Cisco Switches, including VLAN configuration
  • Demonstrated ability to review and analyse data with a focus on process optimisation.
  • Computer literate (Word, Excel and site data bases).
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills - demonstrated ability to do this on all Management levels.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work within ambiguity and ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Effective people management, relationship building, problem solving, coaching and developing skills.
