Your Role

An opportunity currently exists in our Perth office for a Senior Associate with strong front-end experience to join our national team. The role will involve drafting and negotiation for major resources, development and infrastructure projects and general construction matters.

The Team

The team offers a comprehensive range of legal services across a wide range of infrastructure, energy and resources, property development and general construction projects, acting for principals – private sector and government – and contractors.

Our team has worked on, and continues to work on, many of the major deals which define and continue to change the built landscape of Australia. We offer our clients an end to end solution, from project structuring, procurement, financing, contract documentation and negotiation through to contract administration and dispute resolution, allowing us to see the project from conception until completion.

The team values and openly shares experience, meaning that your professional development will be positively supported.

In this role you will work alongside Partner Tom French and Special Counsel Alex Lowe, and their growing team of back-end and front-end lawyers. There will also be close contact with other leading lawyers working in the broader national team on large scale projects within other jurisdictions.

More About You

We welcome applications from Lawyers with 3-8 years PQE. Ideally, you will have specialist Major Projects, Infrastructure or Construction industry experience and are looking to cement or progress your career in a top-tier practice. In addition to your legal knowledge, you will have an ability to manage strong client relationships and complex transactions with minimal supervision and have the ability to provide guidance and mentoring to the junior lawyers in the team.

You will also have:

  • a commercial approach to all matters;
  • superior drafting ability and a strong attention to detail;
  • the ability to work in a highly collaborative fast-paced environment;
  • excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; and
  • resilience and a commitment to excellence that matches our own.
