JOB DESCRIPTION

The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of Salini-Impregilo, Clough and Lane and has recently been selected as preferred tenderer to design and construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.

We are seeking Engineering Technicians who have had experience in mega infrastructure projects, ideally with Monitoring of underground excavation. The primary focus for the Engineering Technician will be to help the Geology Department collate and look after Geological & Monitoring Data. The role will be fly in fly out from east coast Capital City's or drive in drive out for any local applicants. The roster will be 14 days on 7 days off.

The successful candidate will:

  • Study and evaluate technical specification for project requirements
  • Interface and coordinate between the Construction and Design Departments and assist in the review and delivery of Monitoring Data.
  • Report and troubleshoot Geological Data issues, non conformances and corrective or preventative actions
  • Ensure timely progress of work according to schedule and plans.
  • Ability to perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
  • Ensure proposals, reports and information supplied internally and to client are accurate and delivered in a timely manner
  • Monitor quality standards and practices

We are seeking a candidate with the following profile:

  • Minimum of 3 years (5 years preferred) of relevant experience monitoring and reporting on Civil / Geological construction data
  • Understand engineering geological documentation of Tunnel and Surface Excavation (portal/foundation/slopes)
  • An ability to collaborate across technical functions, site construction engineers and external stakeholders Ability to prioritise and plan tasks
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • An excellent problem solver with experience working under pressure.
  • Able to handle several tasks at once and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Health and Safety focused
