JUNIOR CIVIL PLANNER | Primavera P6 – Civil Infrastructure


  • Junior Civil Planner for Pre-Contracts team ($110-120K base + super)
  • Civil Infrastructure – Consulting environment

Our client is an experienced major civil infrastructure construction company, specialising in civil infrastructure projects ranging from $50m - $2 Billion. They have seen significant controlled growth over the last 15 months with its expansion into new industry sectors, winning major projects across QLD / NSW.


Our client is currently seeking a Junior Civil Plannerto join their Pre-Contracts team to help strengthen its capability. Proven experience in civil infrastructure is required with highway and bridge construction and rail projects preferred within a contractor environment. You will be a qualified civil engineer and have a minimum of 3+ years of site projects experience.

You will work very closely with the bid team in the Brisbane city office. Must have experience with Primavera P6 and be looking to guide their career into the Pre-Contracts Team or have some previous tender planner experience. You will be reporting directly to the National Estimating Manager. This role will suit an experienced site engineer or civil project engineer looking for a permanent role in planning


Key Skills and experience:

  • Provide technical support on tenders and set up project programmes
  • Good awareness of construction processes.
  • Must have Primavera P6 experience.
  • Identify potential project risk and opportunity for the benefit of tender review discussions and decision processes.
  • Assist the Estimating Manager in the collation of relevant data to update the planning information resource/library/templates for the benefit of tenders.
  • Prepare information for the Estimate Handover File for the benefit of the Tender Handover meeting on the successful award.
  • Work closely with Pre-Contracts Manager, Senior Estimators and other key stakeholders to maximize opportunities for future work. 
  • Prepare and update resource tracking reports
  • Prepare & or assist with the preparation of construction stage programs at point of tender handover to site operational teams.
  • Previous experience with reputable civil contractor is required
  • Exposure to TMR, RMS specifications advantage
  • Experience working on-site with a civil contractor is essential – minimum 3+ years
  • Formal qualification in either Construction Management or Engineering
