The Engineering Manager, Technical Operations brings technical and operational thought leadership to ensure adequate focus on the Loyalty technology landscape promoting re-use and continual investment to facilitate growth and return on prior investments. As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for strategic and tactical decisions to maximize the value of the services delivered across Qantas Loyalty's Cloud Platform. You will lead high-caliber teams of Engineers that design, deliver and operate the roadmap for the technologies/products to maximize automation, reliability, and performance while maintaining a lean cost structure and the management of technical debt.

You’ll have –

  • Expert in DevOps methods and CI/CD automation practices
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, resolve conflicts, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience working in high traffic, high volume, enterprise environments
  • 4+ years’ experience in an equivalent management role in an AWS environment
  • Substantial experience in both provisioning and managing cloud-based environments
  • Service delivery/operations, 24x7 on-call support experience.
  • Stakeholder management
  • Experience in a PCI compliant environment is preferred
  • Willingness to learn and bring organizational changes
  • Tools & Software - Jenkins, Travis, Rancher/Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Terraform, Python, Splunk, NewRelic, DataDog, EMR, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, Akamai, Git
  • Linux Administration experience is preferred
