JOB DESCRIPTION

The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of Salini-Impregilo, Clough and Lane and has recently been selected as preferred tenderer to design and construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.

We are interested in hearing from IT Professionals to join our project. The work is located in regional NSW between our Cooma Office and numerous sites within the Snowy Mountain region. The role will require a 14days on 7days off roster.

Key Functions will include:

  • Improving system quality by identifying issues and common patterns and developing standard operating procedures
  • Enhancing applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations, and designing and implementing systems
  • Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions
  • Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes
  • Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code
  • Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming
  • Improves operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures
  • Obtains and licenses software by obtaining required information from vendors, recommending purchases, and testing and approving products
  • Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues
We are seeking candidates with:
  • Bachelor's and/or Master'sdegree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience
  • Skilled to setup and configure hardware and software systems like:
  • Microsoft Azure, Cloud-based technologies and Office365 Platforms
  • Virtualization technologies (Vmware, Hyper-V, Citrix)
  • Network/Security equipment (Cisco Brand)
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS and SQL up to the latest release (Win 10, 2019)
  • ITIL / ITSM certifications
  • Experience serving as technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle, from conception, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance is preferred
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
