We represent a multitude of different cultural and national origins, with currently 250 employees.

About this role

Snøhetta is seeking a design-focussed, detail-minded and technically skilled Senior Interior Designer to join our team on a full-time basis. You will be working on projects across Australasia from our Adelaide Studio (preferred) or Melbourne studio.

Current work includes multi-residential, public and civic, cultural and educational projects. The ideal candidate will be able to balance multiple project commitments, sectors and deadlines, will be comfortable working both independently and within teams, and is confident collaborator both within the office and with our external partners, clients, and consultants.

Project Role & Responsibilities

  • Drive the interior design of Snøhetta projects working both independently and within project teams 
  • Integrate interior design work with the work of other design disciplines
  • Work collaboratively with the Managing Director, project architects and project teams to develop and advance the design agenda of each project
  • Work with external collaborators including clients, consultants, and other project partners
  • Skillfully resolve detailing and technical issues in line with the project’s design agenda
  • Where appropriate, manage project teams, deliverables, and finances to meet profit targets & deadlines
  • Report regularly to the Management Team regarding the status of projects
  • Assist with the development and curation of the office’s materials library, and assist building contacts with suppliers and fabricators
  • Liaise with project stakeholders and Snøhetta employees who are based overseas and interstate as required

Qualifications

  • Professional Degree in Interior Architecture/Interior Design 
  • Minimum 6 years of post-degree professional experience
  • Experience creating and leading client presentations
  • Successful experience in a leadership role on medium to large scale, multi-disciplinary projects
  • Previous experience through all phases of design (concept design through construction administration)
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite 
  • Experience with Rhino, Enscape 

Remuneration

To be discussed, commensurate with experience.
