About the opportunity

We are seeking a Development Engineer to join our IT Learning and Teaching Student Experience Team reporting directly to our Product Manager – Student Experience, IT Learning and Teaching. The Development Engineer will develop and support a variety of student facing applications to support learning and the overall digital student experience at the University.

As a Development Engineer, you will provide specialist advice and undertake complete design of software applications including coding, testing and documentation. You will collaborate with other team members to create and communicate multiple design views to balance the concerns of stakeholders. You will be working with a team of experts and draw on their expertise when required, or be supported to learn new skills on the job.

This is a full time, continuing position based at the Nathan campus. Griffith is a multi-campus university and therefore it is understood that this position may be required to work across campuses as required.

About you

You will be a customer centric team member who develops productive working relationships and partnerships across the organisation. You will understand and prioritise user needs and be committed to delivering solutions that contribute to a remarkable student experience.

The successful candidate will have experience and expertise in working with .NET frameworks (4.5+) including MVC as well as experience and some level of expertise in at least 3 of the listed Development Frameworks/Languages:

  • C# including LINQ
  • Web.API
  • Webservices - SOAP and REST including JSON
  • Nhibernate
  • Knockout JS preferred
  • Angular 2+.

Salary Range

Base Salary $87,632 - $ 94,940 per annum, plus salary package including 17% employer superannuation.
