Role: Cloud Architect – Integration & Security (ANZ Consulting)

Location: Sydney / Melbourne


Position Description

The Cloud Architect – Integration & Securityis a hands-on architect accountable for articulating, architecting & actively leading solution sales & delivery of Oracle Consulting’s service offerings around the Oracle Cloud (& Hybrid) Integration & Security stack.

The ideal candidate must:

· Possess an excellent understanding of OnPremise and Cloud integration solutions and industry best practices & have a track record of scoping, proposing, selling and delivering a range of Tier-1 projects for enterprise clients from various industries.

· Be a proficient Enterprise Architect with expert knowledge of major systems, networks and architectural frameworks and approaches.

· Be responsible to lead and deliver major projects and needs to operate independently. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices.

· Demonstrate expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on complex customer engagements in high pressure environments.

Key responsibilities include:

· Owning the OC ‘Journey to Cloud’ pitch from the Technology perspective and align with cross-Line of Business (LoB) Sales Plays to position Oracle Consulting as the ‘preferred partner of choice for Cloud Integration & Security services’ with customers & within the organization

· Develop new accounts and/or expand existing accounts within an established geographic territory, industry, product segment or channel across ANZ

· Supporting Oracle Technology (License & Cloud) Sales / Field organization, Oracle Solution Engineering LoBs through the software/ARR sales process & during ongoing customer engagement to drive up Cloud consumption through new & innovative OC services

· Supporting Oracle Consulting Solution Executives (CSE), as Lead Architect, on large & complex Technology opportunities

· Ensuring solutions sold to clients are delivered exceptionally well through strict architecture governance during program delivery

· Taking full accountability & ownership of OC ANZ’s booking targets for the Integration & Security domains

This is an ANZ-wide (Australia & New Zealand) role; based in North Ryde (Sydney) or Melbourne.

Role Requirements

Possess 12+ years of combined enterprise architecture, solution architecture, presales, delivery & sales experience with substantial interaction experience with customer executives and decision makers. You must have Product, Technology and Industry expertise relevant to the practice focus with an ability to develop and maintain relationships at the executive level.

Content Knowledge

· Strong knowledge (mandatory) of Technology across Cloud Platform & Infrastructure

o Demonstrated experience in the application of architecture frameworks, formal SDLC and Application Development methodologies, Agile, Design Thinking.

o Platform: hands-on Cloud & Hybrid integration, process, security & cloud native services

o Cloud Automation, Cyber/SecOps, DevOps and Infrastructure as Code

o Infrastructure: architectural best practice for Public, Community, Private, Hybrid and Multi-Cloud, as well as Oracle on-premise solutions

· Able to communicate & discuss solutions with customers around evolving & new technologies, across the Oracle Technology stack

· Reasonable knowledge across the Oracle SaaS stack across ERP/M, HCM & CX/M to be able to craft out related PaaS architecture, cross-sell & up-sell within new/existing accounts

· Knowledge & experience on Oracle's Cloud Technology is preferred, but certification in AWS/Azure will also be considered favourably

  • Manage opportunity life-cycle by analysing opportunities and presenting compelling views through the deal qualification process, engaging required internal & external resources, preparing deal close plans & tracking deals to closure
  • Ability to analyse the opportunity landscape and construct a deal strategy 
  • Reasonably thorough understanding of customer landscapes in the required subject matter

· Current AGSVA security clearance would be desirable, or Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain security clearance
