We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Carpenter - Maintenance (Casual) to join our team, your duties will involve but are not limited to:

  • A background in facilities maintenance carpentry
  • Carry out site measurements and interpret site constraints to meet project requirements
  • Undertake and ensure Carpentry tasks are completed effectively, to a high standard on time and on budget reading technical drawings or directed by Leading hand’s or Site supervisors
  • Be a highly capable tradesman with years of experience
  • Be highly skilled in both first and second fix carpentry and have a wide knowledge base covering all aspects of the trade
  • Attend to reactive and scheduled tasks for state and local government clients
  • Have excellent communication and client liaison skills
  • Be able to work to permit systems and strict WHS conditions

Essential criteria:

  • Previous experience in industrial or construction
  • Basic level computer and technology-based skills
  • Ability to solve problems and come up with solutions to client requirements
  • Ability to work to WHS conditions and permits as required
  • Show initiative and regularly work unsupervised
  • Ability to work in a team

Essential Requirements:

  • Trade Qualification
  • High risk tickets (EWP, WAH)
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the commercial construction, residential or facilities maintenance field
  • White card
  • National Police Clearance
  • Current driver’s licence and have reliable transport (preferably ute/van)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing
  • Own personal hand and power tools
  • Need for sporadic nightshifts where required
