About the Company:

Our client requires a full-time (or initial contract) all-round Level 2, emerging L3 Systems Support Engineer. You will be joining a long-standing, well regarded business that has an excellent reputation within the community and, as a result, is continuing to grow. This opportunity would suit someone who is looking for an employer that offers exposure to a variety of Technologies, Applications and Network BAU Support, as well as offer you a learning experience and ability to further enhance your support skills quickly into a more senior responsibility level.

Success metrics:

Providing exceptional phone, face to face and on-site interpersonal skills including Verbal, Telephone, Written and Listening customer-care.

Contributing to a close-knit Team and deliver great customer service and client resolution satisfaction.

Diagnosing problems and solving them efficiently.

Recommending future proofing and Technology Upgrades.

Developing strong relationships and understand how IT contributed to client business strategies.

Adapting to changes quickly and having great multi-tasking ability.

Must have a clean, valid driver's license, Police Check and local history. A WWC is not mandatory, but nice to have.

Role Duties:

Minimum 3 years’ MSP / Field Service experience maintaining Systems and Applications environments, both on-premise and Cloud based. (365)

Minimum 5+ years’ experience working in a complex IT environment.

Excellent Analytical, Conceptual and Problem-Solving skills with an attention to detail and accuracy.

Extensive knowledge/experience in Active Directory and PowerShell, ITILv3, .NET Programming / Scripting, Cloud Computing, Firewalls, VPN, Hyper-V.

Demonstrated experience in deploying and maintaining Windows Server Technology utilising scripting and programming solutions.

Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience

Self-motivated and proactive in exploring alternative/smarter ways and methods for problem resolution and system installs and upgrades

Solid experience in working to tight deadlines in a dynamic environment

The ability to build rapport with customers to promote understanding of customer needs to actively seek information about the situation and challenges of other departments and external customers to improve the quality and timeliness of service delivery

Good oral and written and communication skills with proven ability to produce advanced documentation, planning in an organised fashion

Provide IT Support to Microsoft's core business Applications, as well as Networks and virtual environments.

Provide IT Support to MacOS and Laptops

Implement system solutions and Disaster Recovery Plans

Provide Technical Support over WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security and QNAP Digital Storage.

Create System Documentation for consulting services to include system reviews and recommendations

Skills Required:

Demonstrable hands-on experience troubleshooting and fixing issues

Broad understanding of Microsoft, Networks and VMWare

Self-managed, Time Management skills

Previous experience working with a Consulting, Managed Service or Integration firm. 

Attention to detail is a must as is your ability to liaise confidently with internal stakeholders and external Vendors

Knowledge of various Applications
