The Opportunity

The role of Building and Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring that customers across the University receive a streamlined and efficient service in relation to campus facilities infrastructure. You'll play an important role in ensuring that statutory compliance (including electrical, plumbing and fire) is maintained by adopting innovative, best-practice approaches and guiding your team of dedicated professionals to do the same.

In this role, you will:
  • Take accountability for risk, compliance and QA processes, in line with statutory and legislative requirements
  • Provide oversight for facilities maintenance programs
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships across the University
  • Lead a small, collaborative team of dedicated building maintenance and compliance professionals
To drive your success in this role, you'll have:
  • Extensive proven experience in similar environment with knowledge of all aspects of building, construction, refurbishment and service industries
  • Strong performance based contract management skills
  • A strong compliance mindset, with a track record of implementing innovative solutions to meet statutory requirements
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills, with experience leading a team as well as building and nurturing customer relationships across a large organisation
