About our team

Liberty Primary Steel, a member of GFG Alliance, operates integrated steelworks which include ironmaking, steel making and rolling-mill facilities located in coastal Whyalla, approximately 400km from Adelaide.

About the role

As a Dual Tradesperson in electrical and instrumentation, you will work as part of a team to achieve targeted levels of plant availability through planned preventive and corrective maintenance in addition to any skilled response to urgent plant issues as required. This position is permanent, full time day shift role.
You will:

Complete repair and maintenance work orders to a high standard and in a timely manner.
Utilise and update maintenance reporting systems.
Engage with and support the site team more broadly when required.

About your experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

An “A Class” electrical licence is essential
A Cert 4 Instrumentation Fitter Trade Qualification is essential
A strong level of experience working in an industrial/heavy industry environment (preferred)
A strong technical and electrical aptitude
Experience in fault finding, maintaining equipment and installation
Excellent communication skills
To demonstrate a personal commitment to safety in the workplace, complying with all company policies, WH&S rules and regulations and hold safety as a core value on our journey to Goal Zero

Any applicants that hold additional qualifications including dual trades (Electrical/Instrumentation), HV switching, PLC I & II and current high-risk work licences will be highly regarded.
