About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer Equipment Integration to join our Richmond Team working on the C-130J in a permanent full time position. Reporting to Team Lead Equipment In-Service you will develop and deliver design solutions, using a systems engineering design philosophy. Some of your duties will include but are not limited to:

* Lead development of systems requirements specification for Major Projects in consultation with key stakeholders
* Lead and manage complex activities relating to the design, testing and evaluation of new designs / modifications
* Develop, review, approve and manage Design Engineering tasks, including but not limited to advice, repairs and modifications
* Develop and approve engineering advice and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness in accordance with the level and scope of delegated Engineering Authority
* Actively participate in the improvement of the Engineering Management System
* Lead and mentor less experienced engineers in their area of expertise

About you
To be successful in this role you will be able to work in a team environment, have well developed relationship skills as well as good verbal and written skills. You will need to be someone who is able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment. As the ideal candidate, you would have a combination of the following.

* Typically 10+ years professional experience working in relevant engineering field as a practicing design engineer in the aviation industry
* Detailed knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements (e.g. DASR, FAR, EASA, CAANZ,CASA, etc.), as well as applicable industry standards & best practices
* Solid understanding and application of Airframe Equipment and Integration principles including, physical integration; vibration analysis; classical stress analyses; environmental qualification;
* Detailed knowledge of systems engineering processes such as; requirements specifications, requirements traceability and compliance, verification & validation cycles
* Good working knowledge of aerospace manufacturing methods and tooling
* Strong customer-service mindset and stakeholder management skills to work constructively with internal and external stakeholders
* Experience in coaching and mentoring to contribute to the continuation of a talent pipeline both internally and externally
* Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or compatible discipline from nationally accredited program or equivalent
* Ability to obtain Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) or equivalent state based engineering registration
