JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for strong Splunk Architects and Engineers to join our DevSecOps practice to architect and build data, analytics and monitoring solutions that provide insights to development and operations teams, enabling them to maintain security, performance and availability of the technology landscape.

You will be working across a wide range of bleeding edge tools and technologies across cloud services, cluster management, infrastructure as code, service mesh, SRE and observability.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and build monitoring and insights solutions, primarily in Splunk, across the platform engineering technology landscape (GCP, GKE, Istio, Anthos, SonarCube, Blackduck +more)
  • Collaborate with the technology teams to drive improvement in the utilisation of monitoring and analytics.
  • Contribute to the development of best in class, leading monitoring systems and tooling capability. 
  • Participate in, and where required, lead sprints to deploy monitoring tools and services which enable real time monitoring and insight for a Command Centre environment. 

Core Skills/Experience

  • 4+ years experience in architecting and building Splunk analytics and monitoring solutions.
  • Experience using Terraform to create/configure Splunk resources (dashboards, indexes etc.).
  • Experience architecting Splunk solutions for scale and performance.
  • Experience working with cloud products and services (ideally GCP).
  • Expert, hands on experience with Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes in a large scale environment.
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools/technologies.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Dynatrace and Prometheus. 
  • Experience with data visualisation and analytics tools such as Grafana, Google Cloud Operations Suite (formerly known as Stackdriver).
  • Experience with OpenTelemetry (highly desirable).
