JOB DESCRIPTION

The Role:

Ascender is a leading provider of Payroll and HCM (Human Capital Management) software and services across AsiaPac. We have a new Solutions Architect (Presales) role available in our Solutions Advisory team.

This role focuses on one of our leading payroll platforms (AscenderPay - formerly known as Alesco), and designs and configures solutions on this platform that address customer payroll requirements.

You will present solutions to clients and support the Sales Team with product expertise throughout the sales process, including performing software demonstrations, providing expert input to tenders and Requests for Proposal and pricing support.

This full time, permanent role is based in our offices in Bentley - Perth, with flexible work options available.



Key Responsibilities include:

  • Support the Ascender Sales Team with responses to client or prospect enquiries.
  • Actively participate in opportunity qualification process based on solution fit-gap analysis.
  • Develop solutions to meet client business requirements, based on available Ascender and 3rd party partner services and technology.
  • Attend meetings with prospects and Sales Team to ensure that client requirements are understood.
  • Respond to and execute multiple RFP's simultaneously, collaborating with internal teams as required.
  • Work with the product, operations and technology teams to identify solutions to meet client/market requirements where gaps in current Ascender offerings are identified.
  • Deliver presentations, product demos, and seminars at prospect or customer events.
  • Ensure software demonstrations are relevant and up-to-date for the Pre-sales and Sales Teams to provide to prospective clients.



Qualifications, Skills & Experience required:

  • >5 years' experience working with payroll solutions within ANZ.
  • Previous experience with AscenderPay (formerly known as Alesco) is required.
  • Pre-sales experience is highly desirable, but payroll implementation or processing experience with AscenderPay is also valued.
  • Experience working with complex payroll system configuration is required.
  • Knowledge of and exposure to payroll and data privacy regulations in ANZ.
  • Excellent presentation and communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with ability to build rapport internally and with clients.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to understand and document process flows.
  • Excellent time management, able to meet and deliver to deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
  • Ability to travel to client sites from time to time.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, HR, Information Systems or other relevant field preferred.
