About the Role:

WorkPac are currently seeking a Junior Mechanical or Structural Engineer based within Perth. This position will hold a Monday to Friday roster with competitive hourly rates available for the successful applicant.

You will have the opportunity to support a wide variety of sustaining capital and improvement projects. Reporting to the Senior Engineer, your key accountabilities include:

Working with a team of Project professionals consisting of Project Engineers and Project Supervisors

The scope of works and coordination of an accommodation expansion project

Further develop your engineering skills with exposure to all aspects of project delivery by managing budget, scope and schedule while maintaining a high level of stakeholder engagement and guiding relevant projects through the project lifecycle

Skills & Experience

Relevant tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering

Experience in executing accommodation projects preferred but not essential.

The ability to plan and coordinate projects from concept to execution, including preparing project documentation and procedures.

Good understanding of the relevant Australian Standards.

An industry recognised project management qualification such as PMP or Prince 2, beneficial but not essential.

The ability to demonstrate sound financial and analytical skills and possess advanced MS Office, Project and SAP proficiency.

Ability to engage with external consultants, contractors, and suppliers

Experience in the resource sector or related industry

Knowledge of Fixed Plant operations

Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills

Willingness to undertake site visits as required

Hold a manual Drivers Licence
