About the role

As a Security Architect, you'll work as part of the Architecture team collaborating with Information Security and Engineering functions to set strategy, uplift culture and ensure that solutions are secure by design, providing guidance throughout the feature delivery lifecycle through architectural design reviews, threat modelling, risk management and the development of patterns and standards. You will be empowered to operate independently to help move Belong towards a more sophisticated and enhanced security baseline and:


  • Assist in guiding the evolution of Belong’s digital and security strategy in line with industry developments and trends
  • Provide subject matter expertise to ensure that security is inherent in all products and services designed and developed across Belong
  • Raise awareness of secure application design and development practices through providing education and training to engineering staff
  • Represent the security and architecture functions as a senior SME
  • Become a trusted ally for stakeholders across the business from the CEO through the leadership team and the broader organisation


What you’ll bring


  • Experience in operating independently as well as managing development when critical product features were being delivered by other teams or companies
  • Extensive software development experience with digital and enterprise applications, including a manager role and extensive experience as a software developer with technical contributions to shipping products
  • Extensive exposure to security in a cloud environment (AWS preferred) and SaaS products and integration
  • Extensive experience with scaled agile in the enterprise, e.g. large agile transformations and frameworks gained from practical experience
  • Understanding of advanced software/testing methodologies such as TDD Technical Domain Information Security across all domains
  • Tertiary qualifications in an IT, Cyber Security or a related discipline Industry certifications in security or cloud highly desirable
