JOB DESCRIPTION

*Applications limited to current Queensland Government Employees* This position is Brisbane based, however can be performed from a QBCC Regional Office. There may be a requirement at times for face to face engagement at the Brisbane Office. The purpose of the position is to provide high level creative design and brand development advice to senior management, produce creative communication, marketing and brand development strategies with tight timeframes and budgets. It will also develop, edit and publish including desktop publishing QBCC articles, reports and publications in print media and through digital channels and create innovative designs for QBCC publications, signage and promotional merchandise for internal and external customers including regional customer service centres and industry partners.

Key outcomes/Accountabilities

The aim of this role is to:

  • Design and produce creative artwork for materials such as posters, brochures, flyers, reports, signage, online publications and promotional merchandise that will promote brand development, align to strategy and satisfy customer demand.
  • Provide specialist advice to senior management in relation to communication and branding across the full range of QBCC communication channels including printed publications, promotional merchandise, online and through social media.
  • Co-ordinate external contractors and suppliers.
  • Plan, prepare and schedule design work for communication campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the team regarding content required for social media, publications, website and events.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all staff of the Commission and external customers.
Candidate attributes * Demonstrated experience in developing, monitoring and maintaining marketing and branding strategies through a broad range of communication channels.
  • Highly developed and creative graphic art skills and proficiency in Adobe CC applications.
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills including experience in producing and publishing a broad range of print based and online materials.
  • Able to work independently and manage design projects through to completion within set timeframes.
