Construction Coordinator - 12 Month Fixed Term

About The Role

Applications are invited for the position of Construction Coordinator at the Eneabba Mine. The position is offered as a 12month fixed term position, based at the Eneabba Mine site, working a 7 days on, 7 days off roster arrangement, drive in/drive out from Perth or anywhere in the Midwest region. Full camp facilities are provided.

The Construction Coordinator is accountable for the performance of all aspects of construction at the Eneabba Phase 2 Project, including supervising construction contractors to drive budget and schedule targets. The role also requires liaison with the Eneabba rehabilitation team and the operations departments to ensure construction safety metrics are met.

Key responsibilities include:
Developing “best practice” construction processes, whilst meeting project targets on time, safety and within budget and in consultation with internal stakeholders;
Ensuring optimal utilisation of all construction plant and equipment;
Development and promotion of a positive, proactive workplace safety culture;
Regular auditing of Contractor Systems and procedures;
Directly manage contractors, particularly Mechanical and civil construction contractors;
Daily coordination of all construction activities with the Construction Manager, Package Manager(s) and the Site Registered Manager;
Approve daily timesheets to ensure labour costs are correctly allocated by each contactor.
Inspection of all contractor equipment delivered to site, especially cranes, poly welders, generators, etc.
Daily management of the project schedule to ensure the project is delivered on budget and on time.

About You

To be successful for this role, you will have:
Ability to communicate and convey direction that translates into action;
Proficiently manage competing priorities and apply critical thinking to address construction schedule and budget short falls;
5-10 years’ experience in a supervisory role in a mining resource or construction environment;
Tertiary or trade qualifications in a mechanical field;
Significant experience in the management of construction contractors and personnel;
Demonstrated commitment and desire for further training and skills development;
Knowledge of leading practice H&S management techniques
Knowledge of WA mining legislation and processes

A tertiary or trade qualification would be held in high regard.
