An exciting opportunity has been created for an Architect to join our Product Design team for a 12 month fixed term contract. Reporting to the National Manager, Design and Master planning, the role will support the Lend Lease Product team in a business-wide focus on design and in the generation of design responses to Development Briefs.

You will work closely with the National Manager, Design and Master planning to transition commercial and residential development opportunities into schematic brief design, review and prepare schematic design outcomes and actively contribute to the design review and planning approval process.

In addition, you will actively contribute to research and product development to support the goal for Lendlease to be the pre-eminent developer of sustainable mixed-use urban areas. You will also take on a key role as a mentor/role model in good design practice within the team and business unit generally.

You will also work on:

  • Establishing technical briefing for detailed computational design workflows (by yourself and others)
  • Establishing planning parameters and envelopes on sites with an understanding of relevant planning controls (NSW, VIC, QLD)
  • Thorough design studies, testing feasibility of building and precinct scale renewal projects
  • Coordination across internal and external groups to successfully prepare new business project designs

About you:

  • Strong experience with urban design and masterplanning
  • Digitally proficient with strong experience in computational design and parametric modelling
  • Architectural design in either residential, commercial or retail uses
  • Ability to be organised and analytical, able to implement a project Area Schedule over multiple uses.
  • Be able to self-direct workflows as well as work well within a team
  • Experience in Origination of projects, vision setting, coordinating opportunities and constraints information
  • Experience in Conversion of projects, progressing schemes through planning and delivery to construction on site
