The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of Salini-Impregilo, Clough and Lane and has recently been selected as preferred tenderer to design and construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Senior Contracts Administrator who has experience in major infrastructure construction projects, preferably underground hydro, tunnelling or drill and blast to join this Mega Construction Project. This role will support the Commercial Department in appropriately managing the bill of quantities, take off quantities, contracts administration and the claims, variations and payment authorisation process as required.

Key Functions Will Include

  • Manage and deliver design solutions against multiple and complex stakeholder, contract and regulatory requirements
  • Support the Contracts Department in appropriately managing:
    • Revised bill of quantities
    • Take off quantities from Construction Drawings
    • The claims and variations
  • Prepare monthly internal Work in Progress, calculating the completed work revenue and monitoring the variance between actual and planned revenue.
  • Prepare forecast revenue distribution base on the latest programme.
  • Certify monthly Subcontractor applications for payment;
  • Post-subcontract management including
    • Assessing interim payment claims
    • Processing variations including pricing & estimating
    • Preparation of liabilities, budget's and forecasting
  • Working collaboratively with all Project Departments, providing support on relevant contract administration matters.

We Are Seeking a Candidate With The Following Profile
  • Experienced Quantity Surveying professionals from within a contracting environment
  • At least 10 years experience working in a similar role
  • Proficient in materials take-off and preparation of bills of quantity
  • Experience in managing claims, variations and payment authorisation
  • Able to manage effective relationships with the client, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
  • Sound understanding of Contract Law, Subcontractor agreements and Project Deeds
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications
  • Design & Construct project delivery
  • Ideally with specific experience working with design and construct contracts.
  • Specialists in project startup and Design and Specialists in Subcontract management are both encouraged to apply.
