The Group, Domain Architects are key global roles that actively design the BAI global systems architecture ("Global Backbone") and is at the forefront our evaluating potential acquisitions for BAI.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work across the enterprise, assessing mergers and acquisitions, consulting with the BAI companies, and designing domain and solution architectures.

Acting as a true business technology partner, the Group, Domain Architects takes initiative to work with stakeholders across the markets (Group Services Australia, UK, US, Canada, Hong Kong) and executive management to define, scope, design, and govern implementation of great IT and OT strategies, roadmaps, and solutions.
The successful candidates will have a thirst to learn about new businesses and technologies, proactively engage with stakeholders across the group, want to solve wicked problems, and drive to make a difference in a growing company. It will suit an aspiring Enterprise Architect who can quickly change gears between the 'big picture' and targeted solutions.

As this is a global role, there will be a requirement to accommodate working in global time-zones; with flexible working arrangements to accommodate these requirements. Travel may also be required between our London, New York and Toronto offices for up to 2 weeks at a time when it is feasible/safe to do so.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Global Backbone - design and advance global IT, digital, cyber security, knowledge sharing and data services, to efficiently integrate new acquisitions, mobilise for neutral host opportunities and deliver scalable capabilities across the Markets.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions - assess M&A opportunities to identify synergies, risks, and develop post-merger integration strategies and roadmaps into the global Backbone.
  • Partner with markets - co-design, converge and guide IT/OT solutions using established patterns, practices, and governance controls to balance Market agility with global architecture and data standards.
  • Technology Business Management- assist in BAI's adoption of the TBM framework to apply a common language across the Enterprise Architecture portfolios (Global Backbone, Markets), and to enable IT Financial Management across the group.
  • Governance - govern the technology strategy, architecture, roadmap and portfolios for Group and the Markets via the Front Door Service, Decision Framework and Global Design Authority.
  • Solution Definition - define and develop holistic solutions from initial idea through to business case development and implementation governance, maintaining alignment to group technology standards.
  • Integrator - evaluate opportunities to integrate existing businesses and future M&A opportunities to the Global Backbone.
  • Knowledge Accelerator - surface, reuse and/or scale existing Market capabilities and experiment/explore emerging technologies to demonstrate the art of the possible across the Markets.
  • Optimise Investment Value - strive to optimise the investment made in Group and the Markets. This includes progressing sensible opportunities to standardise and harmonise across the group.
  • Continual Learning - Continually researching current and emerging technologies, proposing changes where needed, and disseminating information throughout BAI.
  • Develop the Architectural Capability - work with the architecture team to define, build, and improve the global architecture capability, tools, and templates.

    You will take responsibility for the Technology and Security domains in a hybrid cloud environment, including identity, end user, infrastructure, network, and operational technology.
  • You are an expert and SME in Solution and Technology Architecture Development, including identity, network, and infrastructure.
  • Excellent working knowledge cyber security technologies.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Cloud concepts including SaaS, PaaS and IaaS
  • Strong Analytic, interpersonal and communication skills are a must
  • Advance understanding of IT and OT Architecture within a telecommunications industry
  • Expertise with MS 365, ServiceNow, Workday & salesforce is highly desirable
