Civil Engineer

Inland Rail Interface

• Major high profile infrastructure project

• 100% focus on community-based positive outcomes

• Great regional Queensland lifestyle

Located 125kms west of Brisbane in the stunning Darling Downs region, Toowoomba is Australia's second most populated inland city and the region is home to 165,000 residents. A strong and vibrant, mixed base economy and exceptional lifestyle contribute to making the area one of the fastest growing in Australia.

The Inland Rail project is one of Australia's most ambitious and high profile infrastructure initiatives and you will be the key interface between Council, Inland Rail and most importantly, the local communities and stakeholders. From a technical perspective, you will provide leadership, consultative support and expert advice across all project touchpoints with an emphasis on minimising community impact and delivering on critical project KPIs including cost, risk, budget and timing parameters.

As a qualified Civil Engineer with RPEQ accreditation/eligibility, you will have an impressive track

record in managing complex, large scale projects with a specific focus on the application of PM

frameworks e.g. PMBOK. You will also have a thorough understanding of relevant technical

standards such as AUSTROADS and DTMR specifications, as well as local government Planning

Scheme policies and all associated contract law administration and legislations. Equally essential

will be the exceptional engagement and communication skills, and the tangible sense of purpose

needed to quickly build trust and confidence with a broad range of community-based external

stakeholders including Local, State and Federal Government.

This is a unique opportunity to play both key senior technical and integral community-facing roles on one of the country's most high-profile rail projects, while also enjoying an enviable work/life balance.
