WorkSpace Technology Architect

Our client: A permanent opportunity for an WorkSpace Architect to join an ASX listed organisation that has revolutionized their industry.

The Architect will be responsible for the development, maintenance and evolution of WorkSpace Technology Architecture aligned with our client’s principles. They will play a key role in delivering technology programs of work, ensuring alignment to the strategic vision and realization of benefits.

The successful architect must have understanding of the below (EUC, Unified collaboration tools or in-office technologies) and be able to look at existing workspace platforms & rationalize, assess, drive plan of actions and help form the roadmap and strategy.


  • Bring product, solution and technical leadership to your engagements, offering domain expertise and advice to business stakeholders which will see you identify opportunities for consolidation, rationalize and simplification
  • Lead technical design sessions, recognize constraints around budget & time, clearly articulate project scope, expectations and delivery options with business and technical teams. Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that deliver on organisational goals
  • Accountability for project solutions including complains to our client’s frameworks, outcomes of cross-functional teams
  • Responsible for applying a commercial lens to Architectural decisions; E.g those aspects of the Technology stack that support business growth, those that require unique solutions and those that have been commoditized
  • Ensure solution and design outcomes aligned to Enterprise Architecture technology standards and approved, respective design patterns

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Extensive experience in an IT Architecture practice addressing the establishment and maintenance of Enterprise Architecture
  • Deep architecture experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • EUC – end user devices such as computers, laptops (windows/macs), Ipods, Ipads, Virtual Desktops
    • Unified Collaboration tools- Video Conferencing, Corporate Telephony systems, moving on prem to cloud, Collab tools e.g. WebEx, Trello, Slack
    • In-Office Technologies- locker management system, digital credentials
    • Strong understanding of technology industry directions and the business and technology strategy influences on the Enterprise Architecture and the development of future roadmaps
    • Extensive experience gained in support of transformational project investments resulting in the identification, evaluation and successful introduction of new technologies
    • Commercial acumen, ability to understand, develop and articulate the business value to be derived from technology advancement
    • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, at ‘Management consultant’ level
