The company’s key products include marine vessel propellers and gyrostabilizers, submarine valves, ride control systems and mining wear pipe. VEEM is the world leader in its field, using the most advanced technology and boasting a global distribution network servicing our customers.


To accelerate the sales of VEEM’s range of marine products, including world-leading propulsion and gyrostabilization products targeted at high speed sports fishing boats, large luxury motor yachts, offshore support vessels and naval and paramilitary patrol vessels – we would like to bring on board a Sales and Technical based Naval Architect who is a naturally talented and commercially astute business developer and account manager. Reporting to the Sales Manager - Marine his challenging role requires a superstar sales achiever.


Your Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities for the Sales Naval Architect include:

  • Sales development of marine products through existing distributors and new national/international markets
  • Leveraging industry experience and proven hunting skills to build new customer relationships and develop valuable revenue opportunities
  • Using propeller selection software to calculate dynamic propulsion simulations for client quotations
  • Using gyrostabilization selection and simulation models to recommend and provide performance predictions to prospective gyrostabilization customers
  • Provide pre-sales technical advice and work with the VEEM Marine Sales team to maximize cross selling opportunities 
  • Supporting VEEM’s agents, distributors, dealers and customers with design, selection and production requirements
  • Using VEEM’s proprietary CRM to diligently track account opportunities and pipeline workflow, following up on customer service issues as appropriate, complying with management reporting requirements and mentoring other sales employees
  • Provide market and customer feedback to help product development meet the needs of the ever growing market for marine propulsion and stabilization equipment



Your Experience

In this role you will be a true sales generator with an advanced skill set in Naval Architecture, Business Development, Relationship Management, Lead Generation, and Pipeline and Account Management. You will have the persona to engage stakeholders, embody trust and deliver on expected outcomes.

To be considered for this position, you will have:

  • Experience in a marine environment
  • Strong English speaking and writing skills
  • The ability to travel internationally and nationally to support sales and marketing objectives
  • A degree qualification in Naval Architecture or senior industry 10+ year experience in a similar role
