We are a privately owned Australian company that designs, engineers, manufactures and distributes world-class radio communication equipment including, Two Way Radio Communications, Marine Electronics, Emergency Locator Beacons, Telemetry, Data Radio Products and Television Signal Processing and Distribution.

We are looking for experienced RF Engineers to join our talent pool in the Engineering division as we embark on an exciting growth phase with our state-of-the-art purposed built facility in Winston Hills.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, we are looking for experienced Engineers that will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing RF and electronic schematics, PCBs and components from requirements to production and commercial deployment.
  • Evaluating and testing of electronic components to specification and industry standards.
  • Layout printed circuit boards and prepare production documentation.
  • Designing automated test equipment for production.
  • Project management
  • Handover of products to manufacturing, including the development of test jigs and training production and service staff
  • Evaluation, testing and compliance to company and legislative standards, including certification, documentation, etc.
  • Production support and maintenance of equipment
  • Seek out industry best practice standards for continuing professional development.

To be successful in this position, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar technical discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in either discrete RF circuit design or discrete analogue circuit design.
  • Demonstrated experience using PCB layout packages (i.e. Altium).
  • Experience with design for manufacture requirements.
  • Familiar with linear, non-linear, audio and power circuits and DSP processing.
  • Experience developing microprocessor-based devices.
  • Familiar with radio modulation formats (e.g. AM, FM, C4FM).
  • Experience with board bring-up and developing and debugging C applications on embedded targets.
  • Familiar with microprocessor interface standards (e.g. I2S, I2C, SPI, UART, RS232, USB).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with good self-management skills.
