We are seeking a motivated and highly efficient Project Cost Controller to join our Brisbane based team. Reporting to the functional Manager, Commercial - Asset Optimisation, this role is a dedicated project role to provide high quality controls and commercial support to a high performing, geographically dispersed team. The successful candidate will have the right client and team focus, as well as a commitment and enthusiasm for continuous improvement.

2021 looks like it will be a very busy and exciting year for Ausenco. As a result, we have this exciting opportunity.

About the role

Accounts administration and cost control, includes reviewing vendor invoices and contractor timecards, raising requisitions, receipting invoices, invoicing clients, tracking payments to vendors and from clients etc.
Reporting includes generating and collating information from various business systems as well as internal and external stakeholders (for routine and ad-hoc reporting).
Commercial management of clients and vendors including managing contracts, purchase orders, change orders, hourly cost and sell rates, task codes etc.
Project controls includes such setting up new projects, baselining budgets, tracking and calculating remaining budget and hours, tracking progress (as required) and providing financial and project related information to the Directors, Operations Managers and Project Managers.
Financial analysis and reporting, includes investigating causes of aged WIP and fluctuations in project GM, preparing revenue and cash flow forecasts based on actuals and projections, and expediting cost estimates for proposals and change orders.
Proposal coordination, includes coordinating proposal development, preparing proposal-related approval forms, liaising with legal team and coordinating proposal sign off in accordance with delegated levels of authority.

About you

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required)
Ability to work with a diverse range of people and cultures
Flexible and adaptable to change tasks quickly as business priorities vary
Strong analytical and numeracy skills, including the ability to analyse large data sets
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail
Commercial acumen
Can work outside normal office hours (within reason) as required to coordinate activities with stakeholders in other countries
Degree Qualified in Business (finance/accounting) or Engineering (highly regarded)
Experience using Oracle E-Business (highly regarded)
