JOB DESCRIPTION

The Opportunity - Project Engineer

Fulton Hogan Construction team is seeking an experienced and driven Project Engineer to join the team in Brisbane. Reporting to our Senior Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering one of our key road projects in QLD - the Bruce Highway Upgrade Project (Pumicestone Road to Steve Irwin Way).

This role will see you working as part of a multidisciplinary project team from tendering through to handover; ensuring safety, cost, quality and time targets are met; managing client, subcontractor and stakeholder and community liaison; and reporting to senior management on performance.

Responsibilities will include:


  • Deliver projects in accordance with contractual obligations and company policies/procedures.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Oversee HSEQ compliance.
  • Project Management including programming/scheduling, contractual administration, procurement and technical aspects.
  • Assist with development of engineering team.
  • Financials including monthly reviews, progress claims, cost valuations, budgets and forecasting.
  • Hold productive project meetings with both internal & external stakeholders.

About You

Ideally, you will demonstrate the following:


  • 6+ years' experience as a Project Engineer working on civil projects.
  • Experience in bulk earthworks, drainage, and pavement.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent tertiary qualifications.
  • Strong financial and contractual acumen.
  • Extensive experience in project delivery.
  • Strong work ethic, technical capabilities and a drive to succeed.
  • Flexibility to work away regionally as required.
