Your new role awaits

Seeking a motivated Senior Cloud Engineer to provide Azure/AWS cloud IaC and application automation capability within the NAB Payments team; one of the pillars of NAB’s product functions, and an area of significant strategic focus.

The role of Senior Cloud Engineer will provide critical thinking and a high degree of technical innovation and attention to detail while being recognised as a trusted advisor to the team and stakeholders. You will be versatile, display enthusiasm to take on new problems across the full implementation lifecycle.

Having honed your application implementation skills over many years, you’re interested in extending the use of those skills to technically guide others who are earlier in their career journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership and accountability in writing code to build and manage Infrastructure and Application automation across the Azure and AWS cloud platforms
  • Setup CI/CD pipeline
  • Participate in problem resolution and end to end implementation
  • Ensure all work within area of responsibility is carried out and documented in accordance with required standards, methods and procedures to ensure information retention and re-use

What you will bring:

  • Relevant and current Cloud Certifications (Azure - Az-104, Az-204, or AZ-400) and/or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
  • Experience working on Redhat Linux
  • Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools in the cloud
  • Highly skilled on automation tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet & Jenkins
  • Excellent shell scripting skills on Linux, CLI & Windows PowerShell
  • Has clearly demonstrated skills around IaC deployment using Terraform across Azure and AWS
  • Build automated processes wherever possible across the Cloud platforms
  • Work with the Solution designers/Architects to automate deployments and reduce manual steps with CI/CD tools
  • Good working knowledge of various tools and open source tools that can be used across Azure and AWS platforms
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as code on GitHub
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
