We are seeking a Building + Facilities Asset Planning Manager to collaboratively contribute to our strong and growing leadership team.

The Position

Wollongong City Council is investing in our largest ever capital works program and are excited to be offering an opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Building + Facilities Asset Planning Manager. Leading a small team, you will apply your leadership skills and asset management experience to deliver the effective development, planning, management and delivery of Council’s building and facilities infrastructure strategies and programs.

This position is also responsible for:

  • designing and delivering efficient and robust buildings and facilities that meet our community needs
  • developing, managing and implementing asset management programs for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance along to renew and create new assets as outlined in the Infrastructure Delivery Program (IDP)
  • providing collaborative leadership and direction to develop a high performing, customer and team focused culture. 

Your success in this role will be demonstrated through your ability to lead strategically and develop sustainable infrastructure strategies and plans that drive Council’s continuous improvement in asset management. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to engage across all levels of the business. You will also have strong financial management skills, understand project live cycle and whole of life costings, and ability to analyse and interpret big data to drive programs
