We're committed to ensuring the Good Work we do will make a positive difference to the quality of life for our people, our customers and the communities we all call home.

We've been working hard over the last few years to develop relationships and deliver quality projects far and wide across Tasmania. Due to growth within our business and upcoming projects in Hobart and Launceston, we’re looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team.

Why should you consider joining Fulton Hogan?

  • We're a multinational civil contractor that genuinely cares for its people. We're big and growing, but this will always be a family business and you'll never be treated as a number!
  • Excellent compensation structure in place to attract the industries best.
  • Career progression opportunities; we want to see you grow in your career and within our business like so many other employees!
  • We offer opportunities to challenge yourself, learn and grow within a culture that values your opinion and works hard to keep you informed.
  • You will be provided with the autonomy to develop and promote initiatives and innovations within your role.
What will you be doing:
  • Overall accountability for delivering works across multiple site areas and disciplines;
  • Overseeing and managing sub-contractors delivery including evaluations and negotiation of claims and variations;
  • Participating in monthly financial reviews and providing cost forecasts against budgets to understand cost to complete;
  • Managing the construction program and implementing mitigating measures to keep the program on track;
  • Leading and supporting a strong safety culture;
  • Client interface and stakeholder management; including chairing meetings with the client, utility providers, councils, subcontractors etc.;
  • Providing direction and leadership to your team to clearly establish roles and responsibilities, ensuring performance expectations are consistently met, and driving the team to continuously capture productivity improvements across their scope of works.
About you:
You will need to be a degree qualified Civil Engineer with strong commercial, program management and technical engineering skills to be successful in this role. You will display strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to both prioritise and problem solve, while managing stakeholder interests. We are looking for someone who enjoys working on complex projects and thrives in a fast-paced environment where you are given autonomy to lead a team.

Sound like you?
If this sounds like you and you would like to help build on our Good Work culture, then we would like to hear from you.

We celebrate and embrace diversity across our business and are committed to equal employment opportunities.

We believe in the value that diversity brings to our team and people who share our REAL values are encouraged to apply
