As a team DevOps Engineer you will work on our NextGen Cloud Native data platform. You’ll be part of an agile team, using SCRUM framework – Developing and supporting our platform to be highly available, scalable, adaptive and automated – key to our CI/CD pipelines and multiple environments in combination with test-automation.

You’ll have-

  • Several years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer utilizing cloud technologies.
  • Solid technical knowledge of AWS, namely CloudFormation, AWS CLI, S3, EC2, Lambda (Serverless) and Code Pipeline (CodeBuild, CodeDeploy) as well as GitHub (or CodeCommit) – or other DevOps automation tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible etc.
  • Programming Languages: Python (preferred) or Java – also TSQL Query Language beneficial
  • Experience using Containerisation: namely Docker or Kubernetes or use of managed containers such as ECS, EKS or Fargate.
  • Strong experience developing and supporting multiple environments using AWS CloudFormation Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Experience working in a Scrum-Agile environment. Deriving user-stories from business requirements and working to Sprints – experience with Atlassian’s JIRA for Project Management (beneficial)
  • Understanding of concepts such as Data-Pipelines, Data Transformation, Data-Lake, ETL, Data Warehousing, Data Modelling, Data Visualization and REST APIs.
  • Experienced in architecture design greatly beneficial
  • Highly familiar with Well Architectural Frameworks and Best Practices
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills with an ability to communicate in both technical and business language, ability to translate complex technical language into business impacts
  • Proven ability to plan and prioritise in an often fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment
  • Experience in aviation and / or travel related industry (beneficial)
