We consider ourselves a small dynamic energetic company that not only design hydraulic services but offer advice to the client and Architect in establishing cost effective methods in the overall concept working with the design team in achieving these goals.

We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: Mechanical Engineer

Definite

Analyse test results and adjust design if required

Resolve all problems that may effect project quality & completion

Develop new tools & systems to enhance production

Identify potential design improvements

Research materials for future design opportunities and usage

Develop & test prototypes

Perform equipment & system calculations

Communicating

Liaise with and provide accurate, timely and efficient technical support to the Operations Director

Liaise with any consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project

Liaise with the client and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress

Contribute to formal and informal project team meetings, take minutes, and ensure that identified action items are complete in a timely manner

Planning and Organising

Assist in the preparation, review and distribution of tender documents

Obtain and collate quotations in line with Estimating Team procedures

Prepare and check project design, assessment calculations, qualities and drawings, ensuring the accuracy of calculations

Interpret construction drawings, study contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to execution of any task

Managing Information / General Administration Support

Monitor and interpret the contract documents supplied by the client, consultant or architect

Assist in resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise

Ensure document control processes are followed

Uphold a positive and proactive safety culture, and lead by example in all aspects of our business Strive to exceed best practice, and instill this approach in personnel and subcontractors
