What we will need from you

We are looking for an experienced mechanical engineer to take charge of our manufacturing and production plant. This engineer must have experience in designing and maintaining mechanical equipment used in chemical processes. All our products are manufactured on site at our Melbourne plant, hence it is essential that our plant is running at optimal capacity overseen by a fully qualified mechanical engineer. The candidate must have the following attributes:

  • At least 3 year’s relevant experience in similar roles.
  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Previous experience in designing and maintaining manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to automate industrial processes using robotics and prototypes.
  • Set out specifications for manufacturing, optimal production levels and determine efficiencies.
  • Ability to determine amount and cost, of labour and resources depending on production requirements.
  • Design mechanical parts, layouts and systems using computer-aided design software.
  • Demonstrate professional proficiency at Solidworks, FEA Analysis, CAD / CAM.
  • Train and supervise technical personnel
  • Investigate equipment failures to diagnose faulty operations and recommend remedial actions.
  • Direct and monitor all aspects of plant operation.
  • Ensure plant and production machinery comply with standards and regulations.
  • Proven problem solver and able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Decision maker with excellent time management.
  • Demonstrated ability in agile project management.
