Who We Are Looking For

We need an experienced Continuous Improvement Engineer with a minimum of 3 years experience in the manufacturing. This role is in our Manufacturing facility located in Dee Why which is specialized in Making both Optical and Metallic Telecom cables. You will have demonstrated skills and knowledge in manufacturing methodologies, different problem solving technique and reliability improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Production Manager & Technology Manager will strategically implement lean manufacturing to continually improve the production process.
  • Host Kaizen improvement events.
  • Assist in production operations to drive improvement in manufacturing efficiencies by utilising continuous improvement techniques.
  • Be responsible for managing and leading continuous improvement projects.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing, process capability and Six Sigma tools and methodology throughout the manufacturing facility and processes.
  • Drive the standardisation of processes and implementation of metrics and best practices.
  • Work with Quality & Logistics team to deliver a robust and cost-effective end to end process.
  • Maintain KPI targets in line with business strategy.
  • Assist in setting annual operational targets and drive improvements to achieve those targets.
  • Identify and implement new technologies, specification of requirements, Capex justification, planning and implementation.
  • Provide World Class Manufacturing techniques to support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
  • Contribute to the 6s initiative to ensure that improvements are sustained and entrenched within the business.

Skills And Experience
  • Six Sigma qualification is preferred.
  • A solid experience working in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • A degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or related discipline is highly desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of modern manufacturing methodologies, Continuous improvement and systems planning.
  • Proven ability to self-manage and deliver on time to budget.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills to build relation.
  • Ability to lead and drive a team.
  • strong technical and analytical capability.
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • working knowledge of Minitab, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
