Due to significant growth and ongoing delivery success with our clients, Turner & Townsend's Infrastructure division in Sydney requires an experienced Senior Estimator to join our established estimating function who are recognised as a market leader by several of our key accounts, creating opportunities to increase our market share and further improve the Turner & Townsend brand.

We are seeking a Senior Estimator with demonstrable cost planning and estimating experience in the water sector, who wants to be intrinsic in the growth of a specialist service within our business. You will be working in a professional and highly successful team who are involved in the largest infrastructure projects in and around Sydney.

Job Description

  • Production of accurate and comprehensive estimates for large or complex projects or programmes in a timely and efficient manner
  • Control and management of the estimating process at project level
  • Production of / management of complex / large estimates without management or supervision
  • Supporting development and promotion of estimating good practice within Turner & Townsend
  • Management and development of junior resources when delivering large or complicated estimates
  • Assisting in the achievement of departmental objectives
  • Staying abreast of developments within own technical area of expertise to be able to give best practice advice in line with business objectives

  • A recognised Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or similar
  • MAIQS / MRICS certification preferred
  • Infrastructure experience, preferably water
  • 10 years industry experience across large and complex construction projects
  • Relevant experience of provision of estimating services in a large project environment
  • Understanding of project management, planning, risk and investment processes
  • Willingness to develop technical capacity of junior staff members.
  • Ability to produce resource based estimates, top down cost plans or parametric cost models
  • The ability to be collaborative and flexible
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to your clients.
